Ariana Makau

Ariana Makau holds a BA in Studio Art from Scripps College, Claremont, and an MA in Stained Glass Conservation from the Royal College of Art in London. She has worked at the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, supported by a Samuel H. Kress Foundation Fellowship for Advanced Training in Conservation.

Ariana is the owner of Nzilani Glass Conservation, LLC, a San Francisco Bay Area-based company specializing in glass conservation, restoration and commissioned works.

Her company’s goal is to educate and inform, resulting in a knowledgeable client who is an advocate for the conservation and preservation of artistic objects.

Nzilani’s client list includes the Architectural Resources Group, the Bohemian Club, various fine arts museums, Hathaway DinWiddie Construction, the Henry E. Huntington Library & Art Gallery, the Pacific-Union Club, the Olympic Club, Plant Construction, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Stanford University Memorial Church, and Stanford’s Iris & Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts.
