In the Winter 2024/25 edition of Stained Glass, the quarterly magazine of the Stained Glass Association of America, Remembered Light was featured in the News & Opportunities section under Upcoming Exhibitions.

Remembered Light
Connecting the past to the present: Remembered Light features a collection of twenty-five art works created with stained glass shards from war-ravaged European cathedrals, synagogues, and chapels during World War II.
U.S. Army Episcopal Chaplain Frederick McDonald collected and preserved these remnants and collaborated with Oakland, California-based glass studio Atelier Le Roux to share his memories of the war.
Each of the artists who created pieces for Remembered Light incorporated stained glass
fragments into striking art pieces that interpret themes of loss, devastation and the continual desire for peace. Each artwork includes a transcript from Chaplain McDonald’s memory of the specific European location where he collected shards, and the events related to them.
It is currently on display at the Pritzker Military Museum and Library in Kenosha, WI from April 1, 2025–October 5, 2025.
